To repair "NTLDR is missing" system error just follow the steps explained in this tutorial.
Cause
The error message "NTLDR is missing" means that the Windows boot loader (NT Loader, NTLDR) cannot be found. This often occurs when the computer tries to boot from a drive other than the one Windows is installed on, due to a change in the drive configuration or because you left a bootable disk in a removable drive. But it may also be because the NTLDR file has been corrupted or deleted.
How to fix "NTLDR is Missing" for Win XP
1.Locate your Windows XP/2000 instal disk and place it in your CD/DVD ROM drive. If you do not have this disk then you can not proceed any further.
2.Restart your computer or turn it off then back on again.
3.When the computer restarts press any key on your keyboard when you are prompted to "press any key to enter setup". Most computers are set up to boot to another device other than a hard drive and since the Windows XP/2000 install disk is bootable you should see the prompt. However, if you don't see the prompt you may need to change your boot prioriety in your bios.
4.After you have pressed any key you will see the Windows XP/2000 setup screen. Once it is done loading press the R key to repair the windows installation. The screen will turn black and put you in a dos like mode with a bunch of text and a few options. The first question you should is it asking you which installation you would like to log into. For most of us we just press 1 and hit enter. If you have more than one hard drive or more than 1 partition this may be different. You will have to know which hard drive or partition your Windows operating system is installed to. It then asks you for a password and if you haven't set up one up you can just leave it blank and press enter.
5.Once you see the words c:\WINDOWS> and a blinking cursor type the following...
copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\windows
D is the letter of your CD/DVD ROM drive so your's may be different, especially if you have more than one. Once this is done you can eject the CD from the drive and type EXIT to restart your computer. This will effectively copy the NTLDR file from the installation disk to your hard drive.
