Windows DFS Replication Service
« on: February 16, 2009, 09:22:37 AM »
I was looking in the WINDOWS FEATURES section in Vista (where you can turn Windows features on or off) and I noticed there the "Windows DFS Replication Service".  I was wondering what is this and can I safely remove it?
I must travel the path of conquest... power is necessary in order to walk that path.

This is mainly for Windows Server environments or corporate networks.  If it is your home PC or laptop, it would be safe to remove both the Windows DFS Replication Service and the Remote Differential Compression from the list.  On my home laptop, I have everything in that list unchecked except for GAMES!
